Mainly celebrated in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, this festival holds special importance for those who observe it. The festivities of Chhath Puja span across four days and are observed to worship the Sun god and seek his blessings for health, success, and prosperity.

Do’s and Don’ts on Chhath Puja
Do’s :
- During the fast, take a bath daily as cleanliness in Chhath Puja is important.
- Worship the Sun God and take the blessings of your elders.
- Use Sendha Namak or rock salt instead of common salt in the Prasad, as common salt is strictly restricted during the four-day period.
- During Chhath Puja, you should worship and perform all Puja activities with a pure heart and soul.
Don’ts :
- The person preparing the offerings (Prasad) should not eat anything unless the offerings are ready.
- Do not drink or smoke as it is highly prohibited during the Puja days.
- Do not offer water from the urn made of silver, steel, glass, and plastics while worshipping the Sun god.
- Do not use onion and garlic in any of the dishes prepared during the four days of Chhath Puja as it is inauspicious.
